Nature ReserveKenfig Nature Reserve is one of Wales' top sand-dune reserves, situated on the edge of the reserve is Kenfig Pool, Glamorgan's largest lake. The reserve consists of complex network of dunes which lead to the beach, with lovely views across Swansea Bay to the Gower.

WrecksThere are many wrecks dotted along the beach. The most famous is the S.S. Santampa and a plaque is situated on Sker point in memory of the 47 lives lost after capsizing in heavy seas. Sadly the Mumbles lifeboat that attempted rescue on April 23, 1947 was lost with all hands is also visible at low tide.
